More than a year, still standing, solid and efficient with a bright future.

While it is greyish in Paris, in Montreal it is particularly cold. The two main poles of E-Cademy with branches in Switzerland, New York, England and learners coming from all over the world, from Mauritius to Greenland?

We are gradually achieving our goal of becoming a true training school for contemporary financial managers.

Our current subscribers come from companies, universities or have come individually.

By the spring, the E-Cademy will be revamped and will offer a new subscription model.

Welcome, this month, to the international participants of the CEDEP as well as to the students of the Collège des Ingénieurs.

We also continue to prepare specific training programs for companies. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have specific needs.

We are targeting 3 full courses by the summer with legitimate certifications and 2 more courses by the end of the year.

For our February vidcast, we are analyzing IFRS16, this new standard applied to the amortization of financial leases. It complements our educational film which provides an in-depth analysis of the market and finances of telecommunication towers. In the 5G era, one can legitimately ask what a tower is worth.

For our blog, our collaborator Ivan Cuesta looks at shareholder activists and their effect on Danone.

The vidcast of the month

February Vidcast: IFRS 16, from lease accounting to assets controlling

IFRS 16 is an International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) promulgated by the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) that provides guidance on accounting for leases. IFRS 16 was issued in January 2016 and is effective for most companies that present their financial statements in accordance with IFRS as of January 1, 2019. Upon its entry into force, it replaced the former standard on leases, IAS 17.
