THIS MONTH / December 2021

December 15, 2021

Here’s our latest content for the monthly subscription.

Winter is coming in full force on both sides of the Atlantic for the Ecademy teams.

We are developing, for several corporate and academic partners, high level virtual educational tools. With the new omicron variant, it seems that distance learning will continue to be a major training vector.

For individual subscribers, our basic subscription price has been drastically reduced since September. It is now 13€ or 19$CAD per month (130€ or 190$CAD per year). Don’t hesitate to tell your colleagues who are not yet familiar with the E-Cademy.

However, it does not include the courses that are available to entrepreneurial or academic clients. However, before long, our variation on a “finance for non-financial people” course will be available in the heart of the platform.

For our December 2021 educational film, Professor Jacquet focused on Volvo and all its tribulations, from the merger with Saab to the takeover by Chinese manufacturer Geely. He exposes the financial cultural contradictions between the Swedish group’s traditions of safety and environmental protection and the Chinese group’s somewhat peculiar vision.

Our vidcast looks at Coty and its new approach to the cosmetics market with a significant number of buyouts and resales and a radical re-evaluation of its increasingly “personality” and social media driven business model.

This month, the blog is about Unilever and its generous share buyback program. We are also preparing 2 educational films on this huge multinational.

Of course, you can always access all our previous educational films, videos and blog posts.

We wish you a happy holiday season and a prosperous and peaceful start to 2022.

Professor Jacquet paints a vivid picture of Orsted, the world's largest offshore wind energy developer, accounting for 29% of global capacity and producing 88% of its energy from renewable sources. But Orsted is dependent on wind to make a profit.
