THIS MONTH / November 2021

November 15, 2021

Here is our latest content for the monthly subscription.

Fall 2021, which marks the 3rd anniversary of the first working meeting to create this E-Cademy, is very intense on our end. New partnerships, development of new features, content and formats are taking up the team’s time. The plan towards an official school with recognized certifications is clear and mobilizes us.

After COP26, we are preparing new content in responsible finance, a field in which Professor Jacquet is already involved in his teaching.

Our basic subscription price has been radically reduced since September. It is now 13€ or 19$CAD per month (130€ or 190$CAD per year). Don’t hesitate to tell your colleagues who are not yet familiar with the E-Cademy.

We also continue to prepare specific training programs for companies or institutions. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have specific needs.

Speaking of responsible finance and the environment, our November educational film features Ørsted, the world’s largest offshore wind energy developer, accounting for 29% of global capacity and producing 88% of its energy from renewable sources. But Ørsted is dependent on wind for profits, which complicates its profit structure as Professor Jacquet’s analysis demonstrates.

The vidcast introduces and scrutinizes Chinese social e-commerce platform Pinduoduo, which just went public by raising $1.6 billion through an IPO in the United States. Since the Chinese stock market and its corporate universe are intimately tied to the government and its policies, Professor Jacquet dares a bold hypothesis about Pinduoduo.

This month, the blog offers a lucid and disturbing view of the current financial world, taking into consideration the breakup of the giant General Electric, the separation of Johnson & Johnson’s consumer business and the arrival of Rivian on the stock market with a spectacular market capitalization of $127 billion without having sold a single vehicle yet.

Of course, you can still access all of our previous educational films, videos and blog posts.

We wish you a happy end of November and a festive start to December.

Monthly Educational FIlms

Professor Jacquet paints a vivid picture of Orsted, the world's largest offshore wind energy developer, accounting for 29% of global capacity and producing 88% of its energy from renewable sources. But Orsted is dependent on wind to make a profit.
